Grand Prize Winner: Mary Lu Marr

Congratulations to Mary Lu Marr of Dublin, CA, our Grand Prize Winner in the Buddig/Old Wisconsin $50,000 Dream Big Game.

About Mary Lu: Mary Lu, a grandmother of six, recently retired from a 30-year career at Kaiser Hospital in Oakland, CA. While Mary Lu has made a hobby of entering sweepstakes and contests for fun over the years, she said she's never won anything on this scale. She learned about Dream Big after purchasing Buddig Original Turkey products for the first time last year, and she's been a Buddig fan ever since!

We invited Mary Lu and several of her close friends to join us for a celebratory brunch in the banquet room of the elegant Lark Creek Steak Restaurant in the heart of downtown San Francisco. Our own Tom Buddig, Executive Vice President Marketing, was present to personally deliver Mary Lu's check, congratulate her and thank her for being a fan. Buddig is a family company at heart, and meeting the winners and learning about their families is always our favorite part of these promotions!

Spending the Money: So, what is Mary Lu going to do with the $50,000 Grand Prize? She's going to enjoy it! She already plans to take her sons Andy and Kevin – both police officers in Los Angeles – and their families on a Mexican cruise. She also has another trip lined up to take her sister, Rosalie, to Glacier National Park in Montana. Sounds like fun! Happy travels, Mary Lu!

We'd also like to congratulate Cynthia Petri of Bishop, TX - she won the $15,000 First Prize! A grandmother of five, Cynthia and her husband Pete were presented with the $15,000 check by Tom Buddig during a ceremony at the Emerald Beach Hotel in Corpus Christi, TX. The couple – who have been married for nearly 40 years – have lots of plans for their prize money, including taking a cruise to the Western Caribbean, renovating their home and supporting their church.
